We love Belterra for its concerts, gambling....sports betting now, with new slot machines, in the main entry area, plus, the BUFFET. as we visit maybe every 2 months, we always select Friday Seafood as the day to go. CRAB LEGS as bountiful and beautiful as they come. Fried oysters, shrimp, 3 ways, fried fish, a chef prepared choice of grilled cod, tilapia, salmon with seasonings and mango sauces, etc to top it off. Everything is hot and delish. Then we move on to the veggies, broccoli, green beans, greens to die for, perfectly seasoned and steaming. Salads too beautiful to eat. Then to desserts. Take ur pick p, pies, cakes, tarts, bread pudding, ice creams, and for the sugar free peeps, coconut cream and chocolate cream pies, to name a few. I believe the Seafood buffet in Friday is approx $40, with early bird discount from 4-5p. Maybe $5 less. Wasn't really super busy at 5p....the wait staff keeps ur drinks filled and ur crab shells emptied. What's not to like!! Ps. The slots were fun, slightly generous....smile....and the concerts bring in great entertainers. A wide variety for all ages. Enjoy!!
Love the shrimp! Chefs cooking on the spot it's a great place to take your significant other!! Definitely recommend! BTW putting the dessert in their face might shorten the night!
During our 2-night stay at Belterra we enjoyed one dinner and two breakfasts in the aptly named The Buffet. The large, attractive space is well laid out--dining room on the left and food on the right. All of the hot foods are grouped at various stations along the far right side, while cold items (salads and desserts) are on an island. Alert servers fill beverage orders and clear away used dishes. On a quiet Sunday evening, we observed the kitchen staff keeping close watch on the buffet, replenishing items as needed. Food quality ranged from okay to excellent. Some selections appear daily while others rotate. One of the stations featured fresh fish grilled to order. Golly, I've never seen this at a buffet before! The hand-carved prime rib was another high point. Also noteworthy were the Italian station featuring pasta and several varieties of pizza, the fried chicken, and two flavors of peel n' eat shrimp. We were pleased with the variety and quality of the sweets, which included gelato and sugar-free baked goods. The breakfast buffet was equally satisfying; selections included omelets cooked to order, smoked salmon, waffles, pancakes, eggs Benedict, quiche, and assorted fresh fruit and bakery items. Plus Peet's coffee. Lack of labeling caused some confusion. What one of our fellow travelers described as "chicken livers ... I THINK" turned out to be fried oysters, and what resembled duck-billed platypus schnitzel was actually chicken-fried steak.
Unlike jacks casino in cincinnati, Belterra allows children in the buffet. So when my grandchild visits we always head to the Belterra buffet because it's child friendly. This buffet features such fresh foods. Several types of fish are cooked to order. My salmon was complimented by the best pineapple salsa I've ever had. Many, many tempting desserts, of which the creamer brûlée was the best!
I have visited a lot of buffets. This buffet is top notch. Everything is hot, fresh and full. Completely pleasing to the eye. The food is made as well as a fancy restaurant. They had cook to order fish, cook to order omelets, breakfast food, salad bar, dessert bar, a large selection of vegetables, pepperoni and cheeses, soups, shrimp, steak, a carving station plus all the shrimp and crab. The food was wonderful. I couldn't complain about anything but one server loudly complaining in front of the customers because she hadn't been cut yet. I must say, I got really lucky. I had a lovely sweet woman as our server. Her name was Jo. She did a fantastic job even though they were super busy due to mother's day. She had the cutest little laugh. I noticed another sweet server there named Barry. He was very kind and welcoming. He wished all the mother's Happy Mother's Day and spoke to all the little babies. Someone lost their keys and he must've walked around that restaurant the times looking for the owner of those keys. What a sweetheart. This place is quite a drive and well worth it. We had a great time! Can't wait to go back.
My husband and I had dinner here last night with my parents and had a fantastic time!!! Going in, I had extremely low expectations due to being disappointed by many casino buffets in the past. However, this place is truly a gem! I think our only complaint is about the steaks, which were over-cooked. But everything else was fantastic! I loved the sausage (Kielbasa, I believe), loaded tater tots (bacon and cheddar cheese!) and the cauliflower (which was absolutely smothered in butter!). My husband couldn't get enough of the prime rib and Cajun shrimp and my parents loved the salmon! And I haven't even told you about the desserts yet! My favorite was absolutely the oatmeal pie - gooey on the bottom, crispy on the top and completely covered with whipped cream! But we also enjoyed the bread pudding, chocolate mousse, Creme brûlée, pecan pie and much more!! This place is clean, beautiful, has a huge selection and really great quality! We definitely plan on returning as soon as possible!!
